Temple Is Joy - November 6

Fridays are one of the days that I shower and do my hair and do all kinds of things to get ready to go to the temple.

I had to drop off a library book that was overdue at the Salem library. I still managed to get to the temple plenty early.

I guess they assign us the post where we serve monthly, changing from month to month. This time I was at the west recommend desk, then dressing room, then east recommend desk, then in initiatory, then veil. It was very quiet at the west recommend desk, other than some missionaries, who were gathering there to catch the bus back to the MTC.

I thought in initiatory that I was going to be helping a new sister to get her own endowment, but she never showed up, so it was business as usual, which is still a great thing.

At the veil, I helped three sisters through the veil. It was about a medium size session. I was at veil #7, and there was a brother at veil #8, so it was a little awkward that we bumped into each other a few times with our backs. I haven't had that experience before.

When I got home from the temple, I warmed up some soup from the night before and added some vegetables and potatoes.

I thought I had done a very clever thing by cooking some baking potatoes cut in half lengthwise in the air fryer. They were good while they were hot, but I thought that I could freeze them and pull them out when needed. I did thaw them to use a couple of times, but when they were thawed they were quite watery, and the potato shells were not yummy. I'll have to choose another option for potatoes that doesn't include air frying them, or having fresh potatoes sprouting in my pantry.

I watched some TV at the end of the day.
